We are looking for a retail design project manager to partner with our client, a luxury beauty brand. As the Retail Design Project Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the lifecycle of division/brand retail projects in varying selling channels and formats. Contributing to the successful deployment of new tools, systems, and processes in global retail locations, both in an active and supportive manner.

Reporting to the head of Retail Design and Visual Merchandising this position will facilitate deployment strategies, timeline development, support and follow up for project roadmaps to completion. This role will collaborate with key brand partners and key third party vendors as needed for project execution.

This role operates in a hybrid model with several days per week onsite at our client, and the balance of the time remote.

About the Role:

Support the Retail design team in developing and bringing new designs to market reality across global markets and zones.

Support design management for the project roadmaps. Develop and update timelines, establishing priorities to keep the design team clear on deliverables.

Responsible for User Acceptance of new and updated project management tools and processes. Partner with local and group IT to address any roadblocks.

Manage all communication across teams with high probability of early or late day Teams conf calls due to geographic time zone differences.

Consult with other function teams as needed for follow up, and surface issues as needed to ensure projects remain on-track for successful completion. Partner with other Project Managers as needed to find resolutions..

Support roadmap progress by tracking and recapping key milestones as assigned. Including any weekly status meetings during the lifespan of a project.

Support of internal meetings and high quality presentations

All other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor to support the greater team.

This position will be responsible for developing deployment plans, for key projects. Establishing and updating timelines as priorities shift. Providing guidance to the design team on project priorities, and perspective for implementation of new processes, as a subject matter expert.

The Retail Design Project Manager will work within the internal software platform to create project purchase orders (PO) and manage the PO lifespan within the department's set annual project budget. The employee should identify areas for cost savings and possess the wherewithal to minimize costs when possible.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree

A subject-matter expert on all systems, tools and processes supporting the management of design processes and projects- with the confidence and flexibility to wear many functional ‘hats' within the team to support as needed.

A well developed aptitude and knowledge of the beauty brand landscape/trends is ideal but not a ‘deal-breaker'. A confident design point-of-view and refined personal taste is a great differentiator.

A minimum 3+ years of experience in a similar role with project management experience preferred or creative operations experience

Involvement and knowledge setting timelines and reporting goals; proficiency on related software systems a plus (e.g Smartsheets/Asana, etc).

Strong written and verbal skills; excellent and articulate presentation skills.

The ability to effectively listen and communicate appropriately to various audiences at multiple levels.

Well versed with technology and expertise in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly PowerPoint and Sharepoint platform.

Meticulous and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Flexible collaborator who can effectively prioritize. Ability to work cross-functionally.

Solid understanding of budgeting and ability to exercise appropriate judgement.

Proven excellence at meeting long and short-term deadlines with the ability to quickly pivot in reaction to business needs.

Ability to be transparent but discreet with sensitive information.

The anticipated salary range for this role is $90,000 - $115,000 annually. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience, and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
