What You’ll Do
As Learning Operations & LMS Manager, you’ll play a key role in building and maintaining a strong operational foundation for Discovery Senior Living’s Learning & Development function. This role is ideal for someone who is energized by creating structure, solving problems, managing projects, and taking ownership in a dynamic and evolving environment.
You’ll support the delivery of learning initiatives across a portfolio of senior living companies by leading operational execution, ensuring the functionality of our LMS (Skillsoft), and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure high-quality learner experiences. Your ability to manage logistics, evaluate learning effectiveness, and provide actionable insights will be critical to your success.
This is a fully remote role, though we prefer candidates located in Eastern or Central time zones due to business hours alignment. You will occasionally travel to corporate headquarters or attend conferences as needed.
Learning Operations Management
- Lead event management, logistics, and communication for learning events, including cohort-based programs, large-scale solution deliveries, and in-person and online workshops in partnership with L&D colleagues
- Manage learning evaluation reporting and input data into learning scorecards
- Oversee collection of usage data across all learning platforms and provide related reports
- Administer budget allocations, including tracking expenses, managing vendor payments, and coordinating invoices
- Create and deliver logistics-related communications to inform participants of learning details
- Serve as the primary contact for learner inquiries, addressing registration, system access, and general learning requests
- Serve, as needed, as a webinar producer during virtual deliveries
LMS Administration (Skillsoft)
- Maintain and input LMS content to ensure timely availability of learning materials
- Support multiple LMS platforms, with a current focus on Skillsoft
- Track and report on learning progress, completion rates, and engagement metrics
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency in content uploads, course enrollments, and user management
- Monitor system usage and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure content relevance and platform adoption
Project & Process Management
- Create and manage project plans for large-scale learning deliveries, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met
- Streamline redundant processes to improve efficiency and scalability
- Regularly present roll-up data and insights using project management tools
- Ensure meticulous tracking of training activities, financials, and performance metrics
Performance Indicators
Your success in this role will be measured by:
- Participant feedback indicating smooth and efficient learning operations
- Minimal errors in event registration and logistics
- Effective management of intricate transactions (payments, logistics, coordination)
- Timely and accurate reporting of training data and performance metrics
- Process simplification that enhances efficiency
- On-time tracking using project management tools
- Consistent and timely LMS content updates
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Learning & Development or a related operational role
- Proven ability to work independently, create project plans, and follow through with execution
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage internal colleagues at all levels
- Experience administering an LMS (Skillsoft or similar preferred)
- Data-informed mindset with the ability to identify usage trends and assess content effectiveness
- Experience managing vendor relationships, tracking budgets, and coordinating expenses
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (commensurate experience considered)
- Experience working in a multi-entity or holding company environment
- Ability to build structure in evolving functions and manage through change
- Familiarity with workforce development programs in mission-driven industries
