Position Summary
This position coordinates the daily operations and activities supporting our employee engagement and belonging program efforts. This individual will guide and lead efforts to cultivate an environment of values and demonstrate components of engagement and belonging among our staff. The Coordinator will be responsible for developing, supporting and implementing diversity, anti-racist, and inclusion strategies, initiatives and programs for our staff.

Position Summary

This individual will guide and lead efforts to cultivate an environment of values and demonstrate components of engagement and belonging among our staff. The Coordinator will be responsible for developing, supporting and implementing diversity, anti-racist, and inclusion strategies, initiatives and programs for our staff.
Essential Functions
- Resource gathering and project managing our Employee Resource Groups
- We currently have three groups – Women’s Impact Network, Black Action Network and Multicultural Leadership Network
- Assisting with drafting communications, event emails, newsletter content, meeting agendas, meeting notes, etc.
- Supporting employees in the launch of new ERGs
- Researching and scheduling quarterly DEI employee education workshops
- Organizing and serving as the main point of contact for our annual immersive experience
- Managing our voting access and rights projects, including being the main point of contact for the League, our partners (Rock the Vote) and our internal working group
- Supporting our Black & Minority Owned Business Program in conjunction with the Finance and IT departments, who manage our vendor system
- Working with the Business Analytics team to update our Employee Dashboard, and running and analyzing ad hoc reports such as pay equity, promotion history, demographic breakdown, etc.
- Managing the employee recognition program (Awardco), including approving awards, processing redemptions, and ensuring timely updates to the recognition platform
- Overseeing the employee lunch program service (Sharebite), including adding new hires, coordinating updates with Facilities, and resolving employee order issues
- Supporting various hiring projects, such as strategizing sourcing talent
- HBCU Fellowship Program
- Future Basketball Stars Program
- Future Analytics Stars Program
- Dodgers / Lakers Intern Program
- Serving as the point of contact for the NBA DEI working group
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Strong interest in the diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging profession
- 1+ year of work experience, preferably in human resources or engagement and belonging efforts
- Previous work experience with project or program management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- Presents self in professional manner and has the demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of organization and outside contacts
- Excellent communication skills including written and verbal; ability to present ideas clearly and concisely
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
- High level research skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Excels at multi-tasking, planning and organizing, can prioritize work activities; uses time efficiently
