Position: Vice President of Operations
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
- Oversee all aspects of commercial roofing operations, including project execution, production efficiency, and workforce management.
- Develop and implement best practices to enhance job-site safety, quality control, and project timelines.
- Ensure all projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with industry regulations.
Strategic Growth & Expansion:
- Drive operational strategies that support company growth and market expansion.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and increased efficiency.
- Collaborate with the executive team to align operations with the company’s long-term business objectives.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop project managers, superintendents, and field teams to ensure high performance and operational success.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional growth.
- Implement training programs to enhance team skills and industry knowledge.
Financial & Budget Management:
- Manage budgets, forecasting, and financial planning to maximize profitability and cost efficiency.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational success and drive continuous improvement.
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate cost tracking, reporting, and budget adherence.
Process Optimization & Technology Integration:
- Implement new technologies and systems to improve project tracking, scheduling, and communication.
- Develop SOPs and workflows to standardize operations and improve efficiency.
- Ensure the seamless integration of technology into daily operations to enhance productivity and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Extensive experience in commercial roofing operations, including project management, production, and field execution.
- Proven track record of leading successful teams and implementing operational improvements.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, industry best practices, and project execution methodologies.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
- Experience in financial management, budgeting, and cost control.
- Proficiency in construction management software and technology solutions.
