Wiring Harness Prototyping
  • Interpret early-stage pinouts, diagrams, and drawings to build first-of-their-kind harnesses and electrical subsystems.
  • Serve as primary contact for wire harness requests; clarify technical or informational gaps.
  • Source components efficiently and build harnesses to spec.
  • Test and validate harnesses to ensure they meet application and requestor expectations.
Vehicle Prototyping & Testing
  • Support vehicle-level electrical updates, modifications, and test equipment setup.
  • Lead and collaborate on larger projects as needed, including task delegation.
  • Maintain communication with requestors and project teams on status, blockers, and support needs.
  • Perform iterations and refinements based on testing outcomes.
Root Cause & Diagnostic Support
  • Lead troubleshooting of complex electrical issues across harnesses, ECUs, and software.
  • Methodically isolate root causes down to wiring faults or component-level failures.
  • Execute diagnostics independently and communicate findings clearly.
Driving Resolutions
  • Document and share root cause analyses with relevant teams.
  • Ensure stakeholders have actionable, well-contextualized technical information.
  • Follow through to resolution, supporting cross-functional teams as needed.

Expectations & Skill Requirements
Technical Expertise
  • Extensive experience with wiring harnesses, electrical diagnostics, and vehicle-level electrical systems.
  • Proficient with schematics, harness terminology, and quality standards.
  • Skilled in hands-on harness work (crimping, soldering, de-pinning, working with small terminals, molded components).
Tools & Software : Comfortable using spreadsheets and project tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
