We are seeking a Process Engineering Specialist to supportthe day-to-day responsibilities of our Process Engineer atour main manufacturing facility in Glenshaw. This role is M-F 7am-4pm. Competitive salary based on experience.

Duties:

  • Collaborate with the process improvement team to design and develop fixtures and tooling that will improve processing times, quality and ergonomics in various work centers within production
  • Provide support to the process improvement team by implementing new facility improvements (lighting, railings, racking, new equipment, etc.)
  • Communicate directly with shop floor employees to implement new improvements
  • Create and manage internal job orders related to your assigned tasks, improvements and fixtures
  • Gain a deep understanding of lean principles of manufacturing and brainstorm ideas for implementation with the team and leadership
  • Extract data from ERP system and time studies to analyze inefficiencies and bottlenecks within production

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or relevant field of study
  • Minimum 2-4 years of hands-on experience in drafting, solid modelling, design detailing in 2D-3D modelling (Preferably SolidWorks and AutoCAD)
  • Minimum 2-4 years of process improvement experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
  • Experience in advanced assembly methods and floor layouts
  • Good technical aptitude and able to understand processes such as sheet metal fabrication, welding and finishing
  • Good knowledge and hands-on experience of drawing presentation, critical dimensioning, view presentations and parts list preparation
  • Good knowledge of concept design with manufacturing feasibilities
  • Good knowledge of reverse engineering/ability to replicate failed components
  • Good knowledge of material selection, purchased parts selection, and hardware/fasteners selection
  • Ability to collaborate with a fast-paced team and incorporate solutions in a timely manner
