Job Title: Product Designer IV

Duration: 2 months with possibility to extend

Location: Remote (Seattle or Bellevue preferred Second preferred is MPK location)

Summary:

  • As a Product Designer, you will be involved in every aspect of the product development process, from brainstorming the next great product innovation to tweaking pixels right before launch. You will be expected to utilize your full range of product design, interaction design, and visual design skills, and you will own the experience for a wide area.

Must-Have Skills:

  • End-to-End Design Expertise: Proficient in designing experiences from concept to delivery, with a focus on interaction design and no programming requirements.
  • Interaction Design Skills: Skilled in crafting intuitive and engaging interactions that meet user needs and business goals.
  • Compelling Storyteller: Able to effectively communicate design decisions and ideas through clear and concise storytelling.
  • Business-Focused Problem Solver: Adept at analyzing problems and developing solutions that drive business outcomes, with a portfolio that showcases this expertise.
  • Strategic Trade-Offs: Willing to make informed trade-offs between competing priorities and constraints to achieve project goals.
  • Open to Feedback and Collaboration: A kind and approachable team player who values feedback and is committed to continuous learning and growth.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience in Building and Shipping Applications or Software: A track record of successfully designing and launching applications or software products, demonstrating expertise in product development and delivery.

  • Design flows and experiences that are simple and elegant
  • Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable
  • Design flows and experiences that are incredibly simple and elegant
  • Contribute to high-level strategic decisions with the rest of the product and executive teams
  • Give and solicit feedback from other designers in order to continually raise our bar for quality
  • Partner with Product Managers, engineers, researchers and content strategists to oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launch.

  • Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field required.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success
  • Develop and execute project briefs and design explorations
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and incorporate feedback into design decisions
  • Partner with engineers to implement design solutions
  • Lead projects in micro-environments, driving progress and delivering results

About the Team:

  • Support three Product Design leaders driving key advertiser-facing products and contribute to high-impact initiatives that align with multiple business priorities.
