Job Title: ServiceNow IT Asset Management Administrator (ITAM Module))
Location: Boca Raton, FL
12 months of contract
Summary:
An IT Asset Administrator is responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory of Enterprise IT hardware and software assets, tracking their lifecycle, ensuring compliance with agency policies and procedures, and managing the procurement and disposal process, essentially overseeing the organization's IT asset management by keeping detailed records and reporting on asset status and usage to optimize spending and reduce costs.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Accurately recording all IT assets including hardware, software licenses, and peripherals
- Tracking asset details like serial numbers, purchase dates, location, and assigned users.
- Performing regular asset audits to verify accuracy of inventory records.
Asset Lifecycle Management:
- Managing the lifecycle of IT assets from procurement to disposal, including decommissioning and recycling procedures.
- Monitoring asset usage and identifying potential upgrade or replacement needs.
Compliance Management:
- Ensuring adherence to software license compliance and vendor agreements.
- Implementing security protocols related to asset management
- Reporting on compliance status to relevant stakeholders
Procurement and Deployment:
- Collaborating with procurement teams to purchase new IT assets.
- Coordinating asset deployment to end users
Reporting and Analysis:
- Generating reports on asset utilization, cost analysis, and potential risks.
- Identifying trends and recommending improvements to asset management strategies.
User Support:
- Responding to user inquiries regarding asset allocation and usage.
- Providing training on asset management policies and procedures
ServiceNow ITAM Module:
- Configure and maintain the ServiceNow ITAM module.
- Create and manage asset records in ServiceNow.
- Develop and maintain workflows for asset management processes.
User Management:
- Manage user access and permissions within the ServiceNow ITAM module.
- Create and update user accounts and roles.
Problem and Change Management:
- Work with incident and problem management teams to resolve asset-related issues.
- Participate in change management processes for asset-related changes.
Service Catalog Management:
- Manage service catalog items related to asset management
- Ensure service catalog items meet defined SLAs.
Experience:
- 6+ years experience using ETL tools to perform data cleansing, data profiling, transforming, and scheduling various workflows.
- Expert level proficiency with writing, debugging and optimizing SQL.
- 3-4 years programming experience using Python or PySpark/Glue required.
- Knowledge of common design patterns, models and architecture used in Big Data processing.
- 3-4 years' experience with AWS services such as Glue, S3, Redshift, Lambda, Step Functions, RDS Aurora/MySQL, Apache Iceberg, CloudWatch, SNS, SQS, EventBridge.
- Capable of troubleshooting common database issues, familiarity with observability tools.
- Self-starter, responsible, professional and accountable.
- A finisher , seeing a project or task through to completion despite challenges.
