Director of Admissions

Unity Health and Rehab, a 270-bed Skilled Nursing Facility located near Miami’s hospital district—just minutes from Jackson Memorial Hospital and UM Hospital—is currently seeking an experienced Admissions Director to join our growing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to inquiries and referrals.
  • Collaborate with the Administrator, Director of Nursing, and Marketing team to manage admissions and support census goals.
  • Coordinate with staff to ensure smooth resident admissions and transitions.
  • Oversee timely and accurate completion of the Admission Agreement.
  • Greet new residents and families; ensure rooms are prepared and staff introductions are made.
  • Communicate admission criteria to residents, families, and referral sources.
  • Review financial eligibility, request authorizations, and document insurance details in PointClickCare (PCC).
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to the Admissions Coordinator; complete audits to ensure adherence to standard processes.
  • Participate in monthly QAPI meetings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, social workers, and discharge planners to support referrals and admissions.
  • Ensure residents and families receive high-quality, compassionate service that respects their needs and rights.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of admissions or marketing experience, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care regulations (preferred).
  • Familiarity with nursing home admission regulations and resident rights (preferred).
  • Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) and Availity (preferred).
