Overview:
- The Network Engineer is responsible for managing and troubleshooting network infrastructure, including LAN and WAN services across various platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot network issues on Cisco, Meraki, and Fortinet platforms
- Configure Cisco and Fortinet switches and routers (e.g., Cisco 3750x, 9200, Nexus, ASR, ISR, Fortigate, Meraki)
- Install network hardware and activate WAN circuits
- Participate in team and project meetings
- Create and update network documentation and change scripts
- Collaborate with the security team to mitigate active threats
Education & Experience:
- Required: Associates' degree in Information Systems/Computer Science or equivalent training
- Active CCNA certification
- 5+ years of experience in Information Systems, preferably in healthcare
- 3+ years of hands-on networking experience with Cisco projects
- 3+ years of SD-WAN experience
- Experience with LAN/WAN infrastructures, troubleshooting, IP schemes, wireless issues, and security protocols
Skills:
- Strong ownership, documentation, and communication skills
- Proficiency with Visio and Office applications
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- A positive, proactive attitude
