Title: Senior Commercial Asset Manager
Compensation: $120,000-$140,000 + bonus
Location: Arizona highly preferred, Remote considered for exceptional candidates
A growing IPP is expanding its U.S. renewables footprint and hiring a Senior Asset Manager to support the performance and optimization of its utility-scale solar and wind assets.
This role reports directly to the Director of Commercial Management and plays a key part in unlocking asset value through contract oversight, market risk management, and commercial strategy development.
Role Overview
The Senior Asset Manager will support the commercial performance of operating assets and development-stage projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams to identify value-add opportunities, reduce risk, and manage key commercial relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the commercial optimization of utility-scale solar and wind projects
- Analyze market risks, cost structures, and asset performance to identify value drivers
- Lead internal coordination across operations, legal, finance, and regulatory teams
- Help manage and renegotiate key commercial agreements (PPAs, RECs, LTSA, etc.)
- Maintain relationships with counterparties, partners, and off-takers
- Provide commercial input for new investments and development-stage opportunities
- Manage commercial reporting and performance tracking
Candidate Profile
- 8+ years in energy, infrastructure, or renewables - commercial, operations, or asset-focused roles preferred
- Strong understanding of power markets, project contracts, and commercial risk
- Experience supporting or leading negotiations on PPAs, service agreements, and asset-level contracts
- Strong financial analysis and project management capabilities
- Effective communicator and collaborator across teams and stakeholders
- Familiarity with tax equity, M&A, or asset acquisition a plus
