The Manager of Cost Estimate & Pricing is responsible for developing successful pricing strategies, creating and enhancing standard pricing processes / templates, and analyzing new program opportunities to achieve target financial outcomes and goals.
Duties Include:
- Implement a cost estimating system and process across multiple domestic and foreign sites to achieve accurate accounts of product and program costs estimates.
- Develop pricing strategies and processes for all Divisions.
- Act as a key member of the proposal team(s) and build pricing models based on RFP and requirements.
- Clearly communicate the “financial point of view”, including the cost estimate itself with the related assumptions, in pricing meetings with Senior Leadership.
- Assist Division Management in pricing objectives and new proposal activities.
- Requires the ability to deal with diverse personalities and cultures within the global organization, and customer representatives to assure achievement of Group objectives in profitability and compliance.
- Must continue to maintain and promote strong customer relationships while dealing in the sometimes-adversarial environment of contract price negotiations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a financial or engineering discipline; MBA preferred.
- 7-10+ years’ experience in a similar Pricing, Cost Engineering, or equivalent position.
- Contract negotiation experience.
- Aerospace experience preferred.
