Role: EPIC Project Manager
Location: Remote
Type of Employment: Contract
Objective: Resource will perform project management for the Epic May 2024 Upgrade Project for client, which includes overseeing the implementation of Service Authorizations, SSO Integration with Navitus, Pharmacy Claims Import for Patient Access, and applicable changes for all downstream integrations and reporting.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Proven experience leading complex, large scale Epic implementation and/or upgrade projects
- Experience using Epic resources and tools Orion, Galaxy, Nova and Sherlock to coordinate project activities
- Project management experience running large scale projects in a health plan (health insurance) and/or managed care setting
- Previous Epic implementation experience for a health plan, preferably for Epic Tapestry
- Ability to manage the scope, cost, schedule and quality of the project
- Ability to develop and maintain project plans and documentation (charter, requirements, project timelines/schedules, communication, risk, and change management plans)
- Ability to work with resource managers to ensure resource availability and effectively manage allocated resources across project priorities
- Ability to evaluate project progress on a regular basis and prioritize any dependencies issues, and risks
- Ability to communicate effectively with business leaders and drive informed decision making
- Strong organizational and leadership skills with a track record for timely delivery
- Proficiency using MS Office Suite, specifically MS Project, Visio, and SharePoint
Additional Qualifications:
- Familiarity with health plan/managed care operations and high-level workflows
- Prerequisite training with Epic - Overview of Implementation course
- Previous experience in the Epic Implementation Director role as defined by Epic
