Job Description

  • Develop, implement, and maintain features for in-house applications supporting Fixed Income, FX, and Equity/Securities Lending businesses, focusing on trading, booking, pricing, and regulatory reporting of financial products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners and business analysts, to gather requirements, design solutions, and participate in agile ceremonies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) for efficient development cycles.
  • Provide ongoing application support and maintenance, addressing user issues, implementing enhancements, and ensuring system reliability within a fast-paced financial environment.
  • Document technical specifications, user guides, and deployment procedures, ensuring comprehensive and clear communication for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with 3+ years of experience in software development, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Proficiency in C# (or similar programming languages) with a strong understanding of object-oriented design and development practices.
  • Solid knowledge of fixed income products, interest rate derivatives, and trading/risk management processes, with experience in regulatory reporting for financial transactions.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and familiarity with tools like JIRA for tracking and managing development tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver effective and timely solutions.
