We are seeking an experienced DEMATICS Specialist with a minimum of 10+ years of hands-on experience working with Dematic-EMS software applications, specifically in the ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval System) module of Blue Yonder (BY) WMS. Technical Skills & Experience:

Strong understanding of ASRS systems, WCS (Warehouse Control Systems), and warehouse operations.

Mandatory:

o Experience with Dematic / WMS Host Interface via TCP/IP sockets (Order and pallet data communication).

o Experience in SRM (Storage & Retrieval Machines) Interfaces using Ethernet IP protocol.

o Proficiency in the EMS User Interface for real-time system visibility.

Desired:

o Experience with PLC Interfaces (Allen-Bradley ControlLogix using HK conveyor protocol).

Strong troubleshooting and issue resolution skills for software and integration problems.

Experience with inventory management and reconciliation.

Technical environment:

o Operating System: Windows

o Database: SQL Server 2008

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).

Application Monitoring:

Monitor EMS application to ensure smooth Order and Pallet flow.

Validate whether all Orders/Dock Doors are being received and processed correctly.

Perform quick validations to check if Pallets are being released from EMS.

Track Orders to identify any hold-up in EMS due to missing instructions.

Monitor integration between WMS EMS Dematic to ensure continuity.

Use available reports to trace Orders using Order IDs and identify data flow gaps.

Housekeeping & System Maintenance :

Perform daily Server Health Check as per documented checklist.

Log in to EMS servers and review log files regularly.

Validate Inventory Match between WMS & EMS (to ensure Inventory Hold status does not block movement).

Basic Troubleshooting & Escalation:

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Dematic software, ensuring minimal downtime.

Identify communication/integration issues between WMS and EMS.

Flag message transmission failures (e.g., WMS commands not reaching EMS).

Escalate issues to Dematic L2/L3 team in case of unresolved message or pallet movement failures.

Contact the Dematic team for clarifications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, analyse, and resolve integration problems.

Validate EMS commands or response gaps before raising to Dematic support.

Documentation:

Maintain daily checklist logs and findings.

Document order validation, error trends, and escalation trail for future analysis.

Inventory Reconciliation:

Perform regular inventory reconciliation to ensure accuracy between ASRS and WMS.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

Good to Have:

Ability to work in fast-paced, high-demand environments.

Willingness to provide on-call/weekend support as needed.

Certifications in Dematic software or Blue Yonder WMS (preferred).

Experience with Dematic system implementation.
