The Director of Operations will oversee all aspects of manufacturing, supply chain, production planning, and facility operations. This role is critical to driving efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and scaling our output to meet increasing demand. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations of the facility, including manufacturing, maintenance, quality, and logistics functions.

  • Oversee production planning, staffing, and resource management to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality products.
  • Optimize starch-related processes (e.g., starch molding, drying, de-molding) to enhance consistency, yield, and throughput.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Ensure full compliance with FDA, cGMP, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, and Sales teams to support new product development and commercialization.
  • Hire, train, and manage a high-performing operations team; build a culture of accountability and safety.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science, Operations Management, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of operations leadership in manufacturing; nutraceutical, food, or pharma strongly preferred.
  • Must have hands-on experience with starch-based manufacturing processes (e.g., starch molding in gummy production).
  • Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, cGMP, HACCP, and quality systems.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and scaling production in a high-growth environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems, production planning tools, and operational KPIs.
