Role: Validation Engineer
Location: Austin TX | Onsite
Duration: 12+ months
Job duties:
In this role, Engineer will be part of a highly technical team who develops
- To develop automated test cases, executes functional validation & debugs issues for Next Gen Silicon Accelerators with strong focus on Virtualization, Networking and operating systems.
- To write comprehensive functional, regression validation test plans for the MI Accelerators.
- Collect Debug logs for the functional issues on Sustaining & Next Gen processors.
- Provides technical guidance and training to less experienced engineers and technicians in the planning, test & debug validation.
- Be able to work in a high demand, fast paced environment with lots of real-time problem solving and critical thinking
- Work with cross-functional teams to improve post-silicon validation test strategy, methodology, and process
Experience And Education:
- Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 5-7 years of related experience; Masters plus at least 4 years directly related experience (an advanced degree will be considered a plus)
- Strong programming/scripting skills (Python, Bash, Powershell); Working knowledge of Server OSes (Linux, Windows Server).
- Knowledge of computer hardware architecture (CPU/GPU, x86, PCIe, memory, bus logic) and software architecture (driver, bios, firmware usage)
- Requires experience and demonstrated technical expertise in the development & execution of platform & functional test plans
- Must excel in a dynamic team working environment
- Requires good written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate with a variety of engineering disciplines and management.
