About the Role

This is a senior technical leadership role that will shape the reliability and scalability of complex, hardware-integrated systems deployed in high-volume environments. The ideal candidate brings deep experience leading quality functions across multidisciplinary product organizations and thrives in an environment where software, hardware, and delivery of continuous customer value intersect.

Key Responsibilities

  • All budget related items, including forecasting, approving expenses, material spend, tracking actuals, etc.
  • All program planning related items, including all Product Development process artifacts such as schedules, budget forecasts, headcount allocation over time, etc.
  • Managing Design and Development Process execution/phase gate reviews, etc.
  • Program scope, including feature delivery in support of signed deals and approved work, etc.
  • Product, hardware, and software design quality. Providing support for Operations as they track manufacturing, and supplier quality.
  • Collation and understanding of fleet-level KPIs through the customer-handoff, and the ability to retrieve the state of active sites when asked.
  • Product management activities, including helping to define product and technology roadmaps based on requests from GTM, etc.:
  • Near term (driven by signed deals).
  • Longer term (driven by what is being requested by customers/GTM).
  • Continuous improvement, cost reduction opportunities, etc.
  • All extra-team communications and requests, including filtering and managing comms and requests between engineering team members and other organizations such as CX, Supply Chain, Contract Manufacturing, the Go-To-Market teams, or customer organizations.
  • Ensuring IC systems are operational and staffed for all approved VIP visits and demos.
  • Generating engineering estimates in support of new deals.
  • Providing periodic updates, including but not limited to:
  • Monday company standup.
  • to Executive Team on key initiatives such as cost reduction, etc., as needed.
  • Driving consensus within program team and with engineering leadership.
  • For all things on the program, either knowing, or knowing who knows.

For the Competency

  • Help to develop BG specific product design & development processes.
  • Develop best practices across programs at BG.

Required Qualifications

  • Familiarity with standard PM SW tools such as JIRA, Project, Instagantt, etc.
  • Familiarity with and experience executing standard Product Development Processes, including phase gate reviews, standard development artifacts, etc.
  • Experience working in R&D teams and environments focused on longer horizon, NRE-intensive activities.
  • 8+ years experience with hands on engineering of high complexity technical products, with at least:
  • 5 years managing engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in robotics, warehouse automation, or industrial software is a strong plus.
