Project Engineer

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Project Engineer to join our team in delivering high-quality commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will support the project management team in planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects from start to finish.
• Work closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth project operations.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes.
• Track and manage project schedules using construction management software.
• Support budgeting, cost control, and procurement efforts.
• Assist in quality assurance and safety compliance throughout the construction process.
• Coordinate with design professionals, local authorities, and utility companies as required.
• Help identify and mitigate project risks.
• Attend site meetings and conduct field inspections as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in commercial construction; internships or co-ops may be considered.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• OSHA certification preferred but not required.
