About the position

ScaleWRX is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead and grow the production team at our manufacturing facility in Reno, Nevada. This role is crucial for driving the success of our operations, requiring a strategic thinker with a strong background in manufacturing management. The Plant Manager will establish high performance standards, foster a positive work environment, and ensure the delivery of quality products while building key processes and systems to accommodate high growth in a startup environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and optimize all aspects of the manufacturing process, ensuring efficient production methods and equipment performance.
  • Foster a Safety-First culture and ensure compliance with all OSHA guidelines, developing safety protocols and training programs.
  • Leverage data from MRPeasy software to optimize production scheduling against project delivery dates.
  • Hire, train, coach, and review performance of hourly employees, managing employee performance and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with engineering and installation teams to develop process improvements and assist with product development.
  • Oversee the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain quality standards in production.
  • Manage the packing of finished goods and coordinate logistics for shipment to customer sites.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a team in a manufacturing environment.
  • General knowledge regarding capacity planning including ERP/MRP and Manufacturing Processing Systems (MPS) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with creating and revising site documentation to improve operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications, ERP Systems, and Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma.
  • Experience with MRPeasy is preferred.
  • Basic understanding and working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma/Process Excellence Tools.
  • Ability to use a forklift.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Familiarity with MRPeasy software.
