Reports To: CFO

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the Purchasing Department for Skilled Nursing Facilities

Vendor Management

  • Negotiate and execute competitive vendor contracts for all procurement needs
  • Work with our General Council on all contracts to make sure terms are in our favor
  • Hold vendors accountable to pricing, service, and quality
  • Regularly review pricing for cost savings opportunities


Purchase Facilitation

  • Source and manage proper purchasing system software
  • Ensure a smooth and timely process of ordering and delivery of goods
  • Establish budgets using facility's historical financial data
  • Ensure that facility spending is in line with pre-determined Budgets
  • Work directly with each facilities department heads, give support and guidance on their purchasing needs
  • Oversee facility stock and develop PAR levels for each department and hold administrators to it


AP Management

  • Oversee all invoices to ensure accuracy
  • Develop a seamless system for each department head to review the accuracy of their department's invoices
  • Dispute any inaccurate invoices directly with the vendor


Monthly Financial Review

  • Collaborate with VP of Finance and CFO to review all facility's financials to ensure budgets are not exceeding the allotted amount
  • Take point on delivering action points to each facilities administrator ensuring they get within their budget


Skills and Experience Required:

  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • High ethical standards
  • Thorough understanding of budgeting and financial management, a focus on bottom line/cost containment
  • Ability to think strategically with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Technologically forward-thinking approach
  • Ability to systemize and streamline processes
  • Ability to manage a team and promote productivity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle multiple requests, prioritize, and respond quickly and efficiently
