Description

SAIC is seeking an Engineering Tech V to support the US Navy in Crane, IN.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position requires the management of threat devices including inventory management, device troubleshooting and repair, as well as validation and verification of repairs throughout their test life cycle.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Candidate will use 3D printer work to aid in the use and repair of threat devices
  • Employee will be responsible for testing layout including setup and tear down of device track, support generators, cell towers, connection, and management of devices on the network
  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic devices

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • HS/GED and 2 or more years of relative experience
  • Mechanical and electrical background
  • Ability to troubleshoot electronic devices and recommend/execute toward a resolution of issues
  • Familiar with the use of an oscilloscope
  • Able to work outdoors and perform basic lifting and assembly actions
  • Able to function in a team environment as well as focus on individual assignments
  • Must be able to travel at times. Travel will be to local test events 1-2 times a month as well as non local travel 1-2 times per year
  • Interim secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

    • Familiarity with radios, drones, cellphones
    • Forklift certification and MRAP license
    • 7711/7721 solder certification
    • Electronic PIC programming/coding knowledge
