Classification Summary: Complete comprehensive review and evaluation of all criminal case reports and associated materials for compliance with the National Incident Based Reporting System (NIBRS)/Rhode Island Incident Based Reporting System (RI-IBRS). Experience: Employment in a law enforcement agency involving the supervision of officers engaged in the enforcement of traffic and criminal laws and in the conduct of preliminary and, as needed, continuing investigations. Previous experience with Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) data and accreditation manager and/or accreditation team experience preferred.
Or any combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to the above education and experience.

- Review a wide variety of complex and technical issues concerning law enforcement standards and the accreditation process.
- Assist in the drafting of written directives or assign writing projects to achieve accreditation goals.
- Maintain master files, archive files, and agency written directives.
- Create and review summary and statistical reports.
- Conduct research and present findings on important topics and/or products identified by the Division.
- Assist with the development of the Division Annual Report.
- Serve as the NIBRS Program Manager for the State of Rhode Island.
