  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Job Description:

Hellenic College Holy Cross is seeking an experienced Network Cabling Specialist to handle a comprehensive cabling project for our educational institution located in Brookline, MA. This role is focused solely on the installation, testing, and documentation of ethernet network cabling across four-five buildings, encompassing potentially hundreds of cable drops and endpoints. Familiarity or experience with fiber optic cabling is highly desirable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and terminate Ethernet cables (Cat 6, Cat 7, Cat 8, etc.) throughout campus buildings.
  • Perform structured cabling tasks including pulling cables, termination, labeling, and dressing cables.
  • Conduct cable testing to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Accurately document cabling layouts, installation details, and test results.
  • Work with ladders, lifts, and related equipment to safely access elevated areas.
  • Collaborate with IT staff to ensure installations meet institutional network requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Ethernet cable installation and termination.
  • Experience with fiber optic cable installation is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, building plans, and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work comfortably on ladders or elevated work platforms.
  • Flexible to occasionally work after-hours or weekends as needed.
  • Certification (BICSI, OSHA, etc.) preferred but not required.

Working Environment:

  • Primarily a standard 40-hour workweek.
  • On-site work across multiple campus buildings in Brookline, MA.
  • Occasional after-hours or weekend shifts may be required to minimize disruption to campus operations.
