SAP Project Manager Telecom Industry

Job Type: Full-time / Contract

Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end delivery of SAP projects (ECC, S/4HANA, or specific modules like FI/CO, MM, SD, PS) for telecom clients or internal business units.
Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success metrics aligned with telecom business needs.
Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and risks across SAP and telecom landscapes.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, including SAP functional/technical consultants, business analysts, and external vendors.
Ensure compliance with telecom regulatory requirements and integration with OSS/BSS systems.
Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, SAP technical teams, and telecom IT leadership.
Oversee testing, training, data migration, and cutover planning activities.
Manage stakeholder communication and report project status to senior leadership and PMO.
Utilize best practices in Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid methodologies depending on the project context.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of project management experience, with 3+ years leading SAP projects.
Proven experience in the telecom industry, especially in ERP, billing, or operations integration.
Strong knowledge of SAP modules relevant to telecom operations (e.g., FI/CO, SD, MM, PM, PS).
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, ServiceNow, Smartsheet).
PMP, Prince2, or SAP Activate/Agile certification preferred.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in SAP S/4HANA implementations or conversions in telecom environments.
Familiarity with telecom-specific solutions such as TM Forum frameworks, OSS/BSS integration, or network rollout processes.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements in telecom (e.g., FCC, GDPR, local telecom compliance).
Ability to manage offshore/onshore delivery models and vendor coordination.
