Job Description: Manager, Marketing Data Analyst (3-Month Contract)
Location: Brooklyn, NYC (Hybrid – 2-3 days/week in office preferred)
Start Date: Mid-June
End Date: September 30
Hours: 40 hours/week
Overview:
We’re seeking a Manager of Marketing Data Analytics for a 3-month full-time contract role to support key marketing and analytics initiatives across paid channels, budget performance, and high-profile sales projects. The ideal candidate will have strong marketing analytics experience, a strategic mindset, and the ability to turn complex data into clear insights. While we welcome remote applicants, preference is given to candidates able to work onsite in our Brooklyn office 2-3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Analytics:
- Analyze marketing performance across paid media and Google Analytics.
- Perform advanced SQL queries to extract and manipulate large datasets.
- Provide insights and visualization on marketing effectiveness and user behavior.
Marketing Expenses & Budgeting:
- Own analysis of brand, performance, and non-campaign specific marketing spend.
- Collaborate with finance to align on budget tracking and forecasting.
Sales Platform Support (APA Sales Team):
- Provide end-to-end analytics support for a highly visible internal sales platform.
- Manage project operations and reporting cadence.
Cross-Functional & Miscellaneous Projects:
- Partner with data engineering to automate and maintain reporting systems.
- Build and maintain marketing models and dashboards.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of influencer and affiliate platforms.
- Conduct deep dives into qualitative and quantitative data.
- Present complex findings in a simple, clear format for non-technical and non-marketing stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Experience in marketing analytics, preferably within an agency or fast-paced environment
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis and modeling
- Hands-on experience with Google Ads, Meta Ads, Oracle, and SEMrush
- Experience with GitHub a plus
- Deep understanding of marketing funnels, attribution, and performance KPIs
- Advanced Excel skills and experience building dashboards or visual reports
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills with the ability to distill insights clearly for a broad audience
- Familiarity with budget management and collaboration with finance teams
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects
- Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, finance, and data engineering teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in marketing agencies
- Able to manage multiple workstreams and communicate with stakeholders across departments
