We are Rocky Mountain Prep, a movement comprised of incredible educators, families, scholars, and advocates who are changing the face of public education in Colorado by democratizing college access and preparation for historically marginalized students and families.   2. 100% of campuses going green & ECE-2nd grade students growing an average of 1.25 years in math and reading
  3. 100% of seniors accepted into college
  4. 40% of 3rd-8th grade students meet their Accelerated Reader millionaire goal
  5. RMP meets its network enrollment goal

Role Mission

The Manager of Operations (MOO) will lead the execution of operational systems at the campus and network level to ensure smooth day-to-day school functioning. The MOO will report to the Managing Director of Network and School Operations, but will parter closely with members of the network operations team and school leadership. Responsibilities include project management, compliance, data management, student recruitment, school scheduling, supporting school front office vacancies, and other duties as assigned.

The MOO will serve as the bridge between school-based staff and central support teams (HR, finance, IT, facilities), directly supporting goals related to student persistence, attendance, enrollment, and campus safety.

In this role, you will…

Operational Leadership & Project Management
  • Support and develop network-wide initiatives around Operational Excellence
  • Partner with school leaders and regional director of operations to support campus leadership teams and Campus Operations Associates
  • Design and facilitate projects as assigned by the Managing Director of Operations
Staff & Team Management
  • Directly support Campus Operations Associates in development and coaching.
  • Create and lead professional development for operations personnel across all campuses.
  • Collaborate with Regional Director of Operations for coverage support
  • Own onboarding of new operations staff
Systems & Compliance
  • Supports Emergency Management response and procedures
  • Manages health/safety compliance and state/city education regulations in partnership with the Manager of Operational Partnership
  • Supports and develops systems of procedures for network and school-based operations
Campus & Community Support
  • Provide logistical support for campus events, family conferences, and school celebrations.
  • Support student recruitment efforts and enrollment strategy execution.
  • Partner with district and charter networks to ensure compliance with funding metrics (e.g., October Count).
  • Collaborate with school leadership on vision execution, operational priority-setting, and cultural systems.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Managing Director of Operations

  • Broad subject matter expertise in charter school operations, including emergency procedures, student attendance, recruitment/enrollment, school budgeting, district and vendor relations and management, and more.

  • Maintain a calm and even-keeled disposition when faced with multiple competing priorities and emotional stakeholders
  • An intuitive understanding of the “Ops role” in service to the academic program and to our communities.
  • Ability to manage “up, down, and around,” leveraging influence and not titular authority to get things done.
  • Able to receive data-driven coaching, observations, and implementing feedback to improve outcomes
  • Understanding that good operations people find ways to say yes instead of reasons to say no.
  • Ability to balance reactiveness to emergent circumstances against the maintenance of a laser focus on goals and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • three+ years in charter school operations
  • 2-3 years of direct managerial experience (preferred)
  • Ability to travel to and work in different sites across the Denver metro area each week
  • Spanish (required)
