Job Title: Jr. Product Manager
Location: Sandy Springs, GA (4 days on-site, 1 day remote)
Duration: Full-time 12–18-month contract, likely to extend
Job Description:
A restaurant industry client of Insight Global is looking for a Product analyst to join their team. This person will be working hand in hand with the Product Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the development, enhancements, and maintenance of the client’s POS systems, ensuring the system meets customer needs, integrates with other business systems, and aligns with overall strategic goals. This person will collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze market trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize the performance and functionality of the POS product.
Key Responsibilities:
- Backlog Management: Efficiently manage product backlogs, ensuring all tasks are prioritized and aligned with project goals.
- Epic Stories in Jira: Create, manage, and oversee epic stories in Jira, ensuring clear communication and task assignment.
- Task Assignment: Assign tasks to team members and vendors, monitoring progress to ensure timely completion.
- Vendor Coordination: Work closely with the Aloha vendor to ensure project timelines are met and deliverables are completed on schedule.
- Project Management: Oversee product-related projects with a focus on timelines and deliverables, ensuring all milestones are achieved.
- Value Addition: Identify and implement strategies to add value to our products, enhancing brand inspiration and customer engagement.
- Point of Sale Systems: Utilize and manage point of sale systems, with flexibility in the specific system used.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in product management, particularly in managing backlogs and epic stories in Jira.
- Strong project management skills, with a focus on timelines and deliverables.
- Ability to work effectively with vendors and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Experience in the restaurant industry is a significant plus.
- Familiarity with point of sale systems.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Must Haves:
- 5-7 years of product analyst experience
- Must have POS experience (plus if within Restaurant industry)
- Strong communication skills with ability to communicate with a variety of different internal teams/stakeholders all at once
- Experience working with Jira
