Merchandising Coordinator – Retail Cannabis Dispensary

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Merchandising Coordinator to support the execution of in-store and e-commerce merchandising strategies at our cannabis dispensary.

This role ensures that all product displays, ecommerce menus, and promotions align with company standards and drive sales. The Merchandising Coordinator will play a key role in maintaining an engaging shopping experience, ensuring accurate product representation online, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support product launches and promotions.

Key Responsibilities:

Physical Merchandising & Store Upkeep

  • Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing product displays in line with merchandising guidelines.
  • Ensure products are front-facing, well-stocked, and accurately priced.
  • Remove OOS or Out of Season products from shelves and document inventory adjustments.
  • Update signage and promotional materials to reflect current campaigns and pricing.

E-Commerce Merchandising

  • Ensure all product listings online are accurate, up-to-date, and visually consistent.
  • Assist with product photography and digital content to maintain high-quality online listings.
  • Collaborate with the e-commerce and web development teams to address site-related issues.
  • Conduct regular audits of the online catalog to ensure proper pricing, categorization, and images.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing, retail, and operations teams to ensure merchandising strategies align with promotions and campaigns.
  • Monitor inventory levels and proactively report potential stock issues.
  • Participate in cross-departmental meetings to align on business objectives.

Product Launches & Promotions

  • Support the execution of product launches by ensuring in-store and online merchandising assets are prepared.
  • Coordinate promotional updates across all platforms, ensuring accuracy and alignment with sales strategies.
  • Assist with product training sessions for retail and operations teams.

Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Analyze sales data to track product performance, best-sellers, and underperforming items.
  • Prepare reports to inform merchandising decisions and optimize strategies.
  • Communicate data insights to marketing and inventory teams to improve product placement and promotions.

Administrative & Compliance Support

  • Maintain accurate merchandising records, product inventories, and documentation.
  • Keep merchandising calendars updated with current timelines and strategies.
  • Ensure all merchandising operations comply with industry regulations and internal policies.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in retail merchandising, preferably in cannabis, consumer goods, or a related industry.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain organized, visually appealing product displays.
  • Basic knowledge of e-commerce operations, product catalog management, and online merchandising.
  • Proficiency in inventory tracking and ability to analyze sales performance data.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
  • Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot issues related to product availability, pricing discrepancies, and merchandising execution.
  • Familiarity with cannabis products, industry trends, and compliance requirements is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Dutchie, Alpine IQ, and Budsense is a plus.
