Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our growing network infrastructure. You will work to ensure the availability and security of network systems across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deploy functional and secure networks (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN).
Configure and install routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
Monitor network performance and integrity, and troubleshoot issues proactively.
Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, and change logs.
Collaborate with system administrators, cybersecurity teams, and vendors.
Implement and manage network security measures (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection).
Support upgrades, patching, and migration of network hardware and software.
Manage IP addressing and DNS/DHCP infrastructure.
Ensure network availability and reliability for both on-premises and cloud-based systems.
Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, etc.).
Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or equivalent devices.
Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark, Nagios).
Understanding of firewalls, VPNs, and network security technologies.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are preferred.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Familiarity with SD-WAN and network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python scripting).
Knowledge of VoIP and unified communications technologies.
Exposure to compliance frameworks like HIPAA, SOC2, or PCI-DSS.
Experience with VLANs, subnetting, and wireless network design.
