Job Description:
Required Skills and Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in Data Governance, Metadata Management, or Data Architecture roles.
Proven expertise in Microsoft Purview and/or Databricks Unity Catalog (implementation experience mandatory).
Strong understanding of data lifecycle management, data privacy laws, and security principles.
Familiarity with FinTech integrations and regulatory reporting standards.
Experience working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Data Governance/Data Management (e.g., DCAM, CDMP).
Experience with financial services or banking domain, especially around FinTech collaboration models.
Exposure to frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, etc.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Establish Data Governance Foundations
Define and implement data governance practices across the core datasets within the enterprise.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive data dictionary and business glossary.
Define metadata standards, data catalogs, labels, and tagging schemas.
Classify data based on business priority, criticality, sensitivity, and quality requirements
2. Data Quality and Compliance Control
Design and implement data quality rules and exception management frameworks.
Define access control models, ensuring secure and role-based access to data assets.
Identify and tag audit-relevant and compliance-relevant datasets for streamlined discovery and monitoring.
3. Core Data Entity and Interface Analysis
Identify core data entities, key datasets, and critical data elements across the enterprise.
Understand and catalog data interfaces between the Client and its FinTech partners, including:
1. Customer Onboarding / KYC / AML
2. Transaction and Payment Data
3. Account Information
4. Behavioral and User Profile Data
5. Lending, Investment, and other service-specific datasets
4. Technology Landscape Integration
Implement data governance controls across the data architecture stack.
Ensure secure data exchange protocols are in place across APIs, EDIs, file-based transfers, etc.
Enforce privacy and security controls to comply with regulatory mandates (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
Establish governance aligned with user consent management and data minimization principles.
5. Governance Structure and Operating Model
Work with internal and FinTech stakeholders to:
Define governance policies on data sharing, access, quality commitments, and integration.
Design roles and responsibilities for data owners, stewards, custodians, and liaison roles.
Establish reusable documentation templates and policy artifacts.
6. Metrics and Monitoring
Define KPIs and metrics for tracking data governance effectiveness.
Set up monitoring cadences, dashboards, and periodic reporting for governance compliance.
Education:
Bachelor s degree in computer science, information Systems, or related discipline.
