***The selected candidate for this role will first participate in a phone screening with the hiring manager. If the screening is successful, the candidate will then attend a two-day orientation onsite, lasting six hours each day, prior to final selection for the role. The orientation will be compensated.***

Must Haves:

Inventory Experience: 1-2 years required.
SAP Proficiency: Preferred.
Attention to Detail: Must be highly detail-oriented.
Attendance: Critical for success in this role.

Policy:
  • Accumulation of 3 attendance points within a 90-day period will result in termination.

Purpose:

The Storeroom Attendant is responsible for staging, inventory, and documenting preventive and corrective maintenance work orders. The Maintenance Planner supports the Maintenance/Engineering Manager and Maintenance Supervisor with the parts inventory process and documentation control through the use of CMMS and factory-specific systems.

Principal Accountabilities:
  • Facilitate company strategies for storeroom management.
  • Perform physical inventory of parts & supplies:
  • Conduct daily cycle counts for the main storeroom.
  • Conduct weekly cycle counts for floor stock.
  • Conduct monthly cycle counts for satellite storerooms.
  • Issue parts & supplies to Maintenance & production personnel.
  • Conduct daily entry in SAP computer system of stock disbursements.
  • Conduct daily dispatching of repair & returns.
  • Conduct daily restocking of bins for goods receipts (parts & supplies).
  • Conduct daily retrieval & disbursements of goods issue tickets from satellite storerooms.
  • Assist in adding items to current inventory:
  • Not all items in the storeroom are inventoried.
  • All items need a physical label and bin location.
  • Participate on Client teams & support team decisions.
  • Comply with all Client policies, procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Storeroom Lead.
  • Maintain positive rapport with customers, suppliers, contractors, and Client Associates.
  • Participate on assigned teams and support team decisions.
  • Perform area housekeeping duties.
  • Perform all work in a safe and efficient manner consistent with lockout/tagout, hot work, fall protection, and other OSHA/regulatory regulations.
  • Understand and accept High Performance Work System (HPWS) culture and support plant and department team goals and vision.
  • Utilize the SAP system to document maintenance activities.
  • Actively support 5S strategies in the storeroom areas.

Standard Job Functions:
  • Collaborate and support Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Operate equipment in a safe manner following GMP guidelines and keep work area clean.
  • Participate in meetings.
  • Train others.
  • Fill in for other positions as necessary.

Essential Functions:
  • Professionalism, leadership, patience, diplomacy, high ethical standards, and a positive, cooperative attitude.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer keyboarding skills, typing skills, and literacy in software applications.
  • Strong math skills, including fundamentals of algebra and statistics.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to convey ideas and facts clearly and concisely.
  • Ability and inclination to proactively analyze and improve every process.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment, components, and parts.

Experience Necessary:
  • Five-year minimum experience in a service or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge (operation and maintenance) of processing, packaging, and associated equipment.
  • Advanced skills and understanding of equipment with computerized/electronic systems.
  • Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting of these types of systems and accurately communicate problems or malfunctions to service technicians, supervisors, vendors, or others involved in the operation or maintenance of the equipment.
  • Advanced understanding of electrical systems and electronics.
  • Ability to work independently and without supervision.
