PC Build Technician

Overview:
Join a high-volume Build Center team in Arizona dedicated to transitioning end users to virtual environments and managing end-to-end PC deployments. This role requires strong technical know-how and excellent customer interaction skills to support large-scale virtual machine (VM) rollouts and computer replacements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and configure virtual machines (VMs) and assist in migrating end users from physical machines to VMs at scale


• Image and backup end user devices prior to transition


• Serve as the primary point of contact for remote users: schedule transition sessions, perform data backups, and handle post-conversion troubleshooting


• Replace end user computers: coordinate shipping, perform restorations, and update asset tracking systems


• Work within a mass production environment, ensuring timely and accurate device preparation


• Document all work in internal systems and follow standard operating procedures

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience building VMs and performing large-scale user migrations


• Experience imaging computers and managing data backups


• Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with end users


• Familiarity with Dell hardware


• Comfort working in a high-volume, process-driven environment

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience using USMT (User State Migration Tool) for data restores (training will be provided)
