Microsoft 365 Systems Administrator needed ASAP for a 1+ year Contract position working remotely from within the United States!

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Microsoft 365 Systems Administrator to support and manage our cloud-based productivity and collaboration tools, with a primary focus on Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance. This role will also provide support for Zoom administration and remote end-user systems. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of Microsoft 365, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for helping users work securely and efficiently in a cloud-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support the full Microsoft 365 environment including Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Outlook, and Exchange Online.
  • Maintain and enforce security, compliance, and data governance policies through Microsoft Purview, sensitivity labels, conditional access, and DLP.
  • Support and manage Zoom accounts and configurations across the organization.
  • Provide remote support to end-users for device setup, connectivity issues, application support, and troubleshooting.
  • Configure and manage Teams policies, guest access, shared channels, and third-party app permissions.
  • Maintain SharePoint sites, permissions, and integrations with Teams and other apps.
  • Assist with onboarding/offboarding processes including account provisioning, group assignments, and licensing.
  • Collaborate with departments to improve workflows and user adoption of Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Monitor and maintain system performance and respond to incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
  • Support endpoint security solutions and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
  • Document systems, changes, and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications Required:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Strong expertise in MS Teams, SharePoint, and Exchange Online.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Security & Compliance Center, and Endpoint Manager (Intune).
  • Experience with Zoom administration and license management.
  • Proficiency in providing remote technical support across Windows platforms.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting.

Preferred:

  • Microsoft certifications such as MS-700 (Teams Administrator), MS-102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator), or SC-900 (Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals).
  • Understanding of Microsoft Purview, sensitivity labels, and Microsoft Defender for Office 365.
  • Experience with Microsoft Forms, Power Automate, and basic Power Platform workflows.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience and professionalism in working with end-users of varying technical skill levels.
