Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Purchasing Specialist to support day-to-day procurement activities to ensure timely and compliant acquisition of materials and services required for company operations. This role involves vendor communication, price comparison, purchase order processing, contract coordination, and procurement data support.

  • Manager end-to-end purchasing operations including Amazon office/janitorial supply purchases and warehouse material procurement
  • Monitor monthly Amazon purchasing limits per facility and follow up on internal approval workflows for over-limit transactions
  • Review and validate purchase requisitions (PRs), ensure completeness of vendor information, and issue POs accordingly
  • Coordinate with facility managers to confirm supply needs, timing, and inventory impact
  • Work closely with the accounting and AP team on timely vendor setup, invoice matching, and payment processes
  • Track and analyze purchase trends, flag abnormal or unauthorized spendings, and present findings to the VP of Finance
  • Research materials, equipment, and services from various suppliers; assist with pricing comparisons and delivery evaluations
  • Support contract coordination and help maintain supplier performance records
  • Generate monthly procurement reports including PO status, spending by caregory, and cost-saving metrics

Candidate requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in a logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing setting
  • Familiarity with procurement procedures, competitive bidding, and basic negotiation tactics
  • Basic knowledge of auditing or accounting principles is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination across departments and vendors
  • Good problem-solving skills, capable of handling common procurement issues independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; capable of analyzing and presenting procurement data
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, R, Power BI, or Tableau is preferred
  • Experience in logistics industry is strongly preferred
