JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to CEO, this role is pivotal in driving our technology strategy and ensuring operational excellence. As the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for a leading multi state law firm specializing in an array of client services for the mortgage default servicing industry.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing IT strategy: Oversee the strategic direction and execution of software and application development, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Responsible for leading a team of developers, fostering collaboration, innovation and adherence to best practices in agile methodologies and DevOps. Implementing scalable solutions to support business growth.
  • Managing IT budget and resources: Overseeing the allocation of funds for IT projects, hardware, software, and staff. Provides leadership and guidance to the IT staff, fostering a skilled and motivated and congenial team.
  • Overseeing IT infrastructure, development and operations: Ensuring the smooth functioning of computer systems, networks, and data processing. Leading digital transformation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, client experience, and business growth. This role also negotiates contracts, manages relationships with IT vendors while ensuring the timely delivery of services.
  • Knowledge of mortgage default: Utilize expertise in mortgage default processes to develop and implement technology solutions that support the Firm’s operations in this area. Collaborate with relevant departments to address technology needs related to mortgage default. Develop and implement project management methodologies and practices to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Cybersecurity and Risk Management: Develop and implement robust cybersecurity strategies to protect the Firm’s data and systems. Ensure compliance with relevant law, regulation, and industry standards. Oversee risk management processes to identify, assess, and mitigate technology-related risks.
  • Staying abreast of emerging technologies: Keeping up with the latest trends and innovations in IT to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation. Serve as the primary point of contact for technology matters with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advising the executive team: Collaborate with the executive team providing expert advice on IT matters, including strategic planning and risk management.
  • Multi-state law practice: Ensure IT solutions comply with multi-state regulations and legal requirements. Collaborate with legal teams to address technology-related legal issues across different states.
  • Knowledge of robotic process automation (RPA), AI, and extensive integration: Lead initiatives to integrate RPA and AI technologies into the Firm’s operations. Develop strategies for extensive integration of these technologies to enhance efficiency and innovation.

Knowledge, Skills, & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology / Systems, Computer Software or Software Engineering or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • Must possess expert-level written and verbal communication skills.
  • 5-7 years’ management experience in a technology role; 10-15 years’ experience in IT or data management; industry specific experience legal/mortgage default servicing is a plus.
  • Ability to navigate complex technological environments and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to develop automation and integration with our various client systems is another key skill.
  • Prior hands-on knowledge of the Microsoft application stack will be critical for your success.
  • Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability.
  • Strong strategic planning and execution capabilities along with a proven track record of driving technological innovation and transformation.
  • Knowledge of multi-state law practice.
  • Expertise in robotic process automation (RPA), AI, and extensive integration.
  • Knowledge of mortgage default processes.
