Patrick Ta Beauty is looking for a talented Product Development Manager to join our PD team. This manager role will support our internal team as we build beautiful products, while streamlining processes for efficiency and smoother development cycles. Patrick Ta Beauty was founded in 2019 by world-renowned celebrity makeup artist, Patrick Ta and one of his first-ever clients and beauty and skincare expert, Rima

Minasyan. The pair work together to create, perfect, and launch each product for both the makeup artist and the everyday makeup wearer. Patrick Ta Beauty's goal has always been to make their consumer feel great in their skin and give them versatile products that can create any look.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with VP and team to support new formula and packaging initiatives
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure development synergies and fulfill special requests
  • Manage formula and new product development ensuring projects are delivered on time.
  • Assist in coordinating agendas, reviewing submissions, tracking key approvals and milestone dates.
  • Manage category specific shade analysis and work closely with the team to identify shade gaps, lineup selections, and strategic assortment curations; present learnings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Drive briefs and manage recurring formula submissions from labs and vendors
  • Coordinate formula and shade approval processes between vendors and brand stakeholders.
  • Oversee product and packaging submissions and samples
  • Build and maintain organized and accessible product closets
  • Manage regulatory and formula documentation
  • Spearhead certifications and registrations (e.g., cruelty-free)
  • Develop and distribute labeling and artwork requirements
  • Coordinate product samples and mock-ups for PR, marketing, and testing needs
  • Gather and share monthly product feedback from field and sales team
  • Monitor competitive product and market trends
  • Handle incoming and outgoing packages
  • Assist in preparing for meetings
  • Participate in new product brainstorms
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and artwork oversight
  • Facilitate formula testing and sampling needs
  • Manage competitive matrixes and benchmark shopping

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Minimum 5-6 years of PD experience
  • Have an encyclopedic knowledge of products
  • Excellent organizational, communication and follow-through skills, and a keen eye to detail
  • Multi-functional, flexible to handle ever-changing priorities in fast paced environment
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • In tune and up to date with trends
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve; resourceful
  • Skills in tactile/aesthetic evaluation of cosmetic product and eagerness to learn
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Slack, Asana
