Responsibilities:
- Works in partnership with internal customers, advising them on information technology in order to meet their business objectives or overcome problems.
- Defines data strategy and provides guidance to improve structure and efficiency of I&IT systems.
- Provides subject matter expertise in the field of Information Management & IT technology, in particular, data lake house, pipelines, and analytics.
- 5+ years leading teams implementing data pipelines and integrations.
- 5+ years experience developing processes and procedures for implementing data strategy, integration, and ingestion.
- Solid knowledge of modern data analytics and technologies (i.e. Microsoft Azure Datalake, Databricks, etc.).
- Acts as the technical advisor/expert on all aspects of data strategy.
- Develops processes and procedures for implementing data strategy, integration, and ingestion.
- Ensures data architecture and pipelines are built based on standard technology and follow approved patterns, and ensuring high quality, reliability, and performance.
- Anticipates and resolves problems to ensure that the deliverables are completed within budget, to the highest quality, meeting or exceeding expectations.
- Works with internal clients to define the requirements for data and integrations.
- Prepares reports and presentations including options, recommendations, implementation plans, etc.
- Familiar with change-management principles and methodology.
- Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Public sector experience.
- Public transit domain knowledge.
- Rail Operations and Maintenance experience.
