Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to join our team. This role is

critical in supporting key financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-

making efforts across our homebuilding operations. The ideal candidate will bring industry-

specific insight and a passion for using data to drive business success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain financial models for community and project-level analysis, including cost tracking, revenue forecasting, and profitability assessments.
  • Partner with construction, land acquisition, sales, and operations teams to analyze project performance and ensure alignment with financial targets.
  • Monitor and report on key financial metrics such as gross margin, cost per square foot, absorption rates, and sales velocity.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct variance analysis between actuals and budget/forecast and provide explanations and insights.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes across divisions and departments.
  • Evaluate land deals and new community opportunities by conducting pro forma analysis and scenario modeling.
  • Assist in cost control initiatives and provide support for pricing strategies and market analysis.
  • Prepare presentations and dashboards for executive-level decision-making.
  • Ensure financial compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA a plus)
  • 2-5 years of financial analysis experience, ideally within the homebuilding, real estate development, or construction industry
  • Strong understanding of land development and production homebuilding economics, cost structures, and key performance metrics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced modeling skills required); experience with ERP and financial software (e.g., JD Edwards, BuilderMT, Newstar, BuildPro or similar)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity
