This remote-based position will play a pivotal role in driving global sales and business development, with a primary focus on contract manufacturing within the pharmaceutical, OTC consumer health industry The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background in pharmaceutical processes such as granulation, spray drying, and taste masking is essential, along with a proven ability to drive new business in both established and emerging markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across assigned territories and accounts.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, with a focus on securing high-value contracts in the pharmaceutical, OTC consumer health industry.
- Establish and nurture strategic relationships with prospective and existing clients.
- Prepare and deliver account plans, sales forecasts, and project proposals.
- Manage quotations, pricing negotiations, and capability presentations.
- Lead generation and qualification of new prospects.
- Represent the company at trade shows and customer events to support growth initiatives.
- Regular reporting on customer engagement, sales performance, and territory strategy.
- Achieve or exceed annual sales targets and contribute to overall budget goals.
- Promote the full contract manufacturing portfolio, ensuring alignment with client needs.
- Maintain and develop relationships with current customers, supporting retention and expansion efforts.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Proven background in sales and business development within CDMO.
- Technical understanding of technologies such as granulation, spray drying, and taste masking.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Strong competency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools for sales management and KPI tracking.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing account strategies and business development plans.
- Ability and willingness to travel (30–35%) to support business growth and client relationships.
- Strong network and experience in the pharmaceutical, OTC, and consumer health industries.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required (advanced degree advantageous).
- 3–5 years’ commercial experience in pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, or consumer health, with a focus on new business development and commercial sales.
