Crowe PR is a remote first company, but all Social Media Group Manager candidates should be located in, or in a commutable distance to, San Diego, CA.
At-Will Employment: This position is an at-will employee position.
Exempt Position: This position is an exempt salaried position. This role will be paid between $83,000 and $93,000/year DOE.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
Department / Company Leadership
- Partner with Crowe PR leadership team to develop the best processes and procedures for social media department and agency success.
- Track and report on client social media KPIs, sentiment, hours usage and more on a weekly basis to ensure maximum efficiency and success.
- Communicate client and team wins and issues to wider Crowe PR leadership team on a regular basis.
- Ensure social media clients are properly staffed and form account teams for new clients, as needed.
- Lead department meetings and brainstorms, encouraging collaboration and participation from the team.
- Serve as the social media expert for Crowe PR, regularly sharing trends, insights, learnings and more.
- Recommend strategic moves for Crowe PR as it relates to the ever-changing social media landscape.
- Assist in onboarding and training new social media team members.
- Oversee Crowe PR’s social accounts, as needed.
LMA (Lead, Manage, and Hold People Accountable)
- Ensure social leads and teams understand what success looks like for each social media client.
- Provide ongoing feedback to account teams to improve performance and ensure client expectations are consistently met.
- Help foster a positive collaborative environment that maximizes team creativity, out-of-box thinking and productivity.
- Lead and inspire team members to generate industry-leading social results.
- Directly oversee, manage and contribute to growing team members in their roles.
- Coach and inspire the growth and development of team members by providing consistent feedback, training and growth opportunities.
- Set priorities for account teams and hold them accountable while maintaining a collaborative environment.
- Hold annual reviews, quarterly meetings and biweekly 1:1s with direct reports.
Client Relations
- Have a clear understanding of each social media client and account team responsibilities.
- Lead 2-5 key accounts and support with social media strategy for all other accounts in the vertical.
- Serve as an industry expert on social media strategy for clients, remaining up to date on social media trends and best practices.
- Uncover and interpret industry information and trends to accomplish client business objectives.
- Listen and understand client needs and help clients make strategic decisions for their businesses.
- Consistently provide exceptional client service and inspire the wider account teams to do the same.
- Strategically manage multiple clients’ business objectives, projects and deadlines.
- Hold regular check-ins with clients to ensure their needs are being met by their account team. Address any feedback is acted on accordingly.
- Proactively anticipate client needs and questions and inspire the wider account teams to do the same.
- Resolve client concerns quickly and effectively.
- Foster overall strong, positive relationships with clients.
- Update and/or review client meeting agendas, weekly/monthly recaps, etc., as needed.
- Draft and/or review action items following client calls and appropriately assign tasks to account teams, as needed.
- Assist with onboarding new clients from a strategic standpoint to set account teams up for success.
Integrated Social Media Strategy and Execution
- Develop and oversee robust social media strategy for clients within the consumer products, DRE (Destinations, Resorts and Experiences) and health + tech verticals, as needed.
- Manage and oversee multiple social media accounts, including content creation, post scheduling, community management and more.
- Build out compelling social media content, including brand-specific copy, UGC, video creation/editing. This includes but is not limited to videos/reels, voiceovers, product/lifestyle photos and creative copy.
- Monitor user engagement, as needed. Respond to all comments and messages within the determined timeframe.
- Ensure proper understanding and communication of clients’ brand voice.
- Utilize design tools to develop multi-media graphics.
- Attend client events and produce live social media content, as appropriate.
- Facilitate photoshoots and edit content for social media.
- Cultivate innovative and out-of-the-box creative social media concepts and campaigns to drive engagement and amplify visibility.
- Be able to speak to, launch and monitor paid ad campaigns on social channels.
- Understand and be able to report on social analytics in a way that demonstrates ROI.
Integrated PR Strategy and Execution
- Alongside integrated PR vertical leads, oversee the creation of integrated PR and social media strategies.
- Work with PR teams to amplify client media coverage via social media, ensuring consistent messaging.
- Identify ways to introduce Crowe PR’s social media capabilities to exiting PR and/or influencer only clients, as appropriate.
Planning and Reporting
- Develop and/or review strategic social media plans and calendars that align with client goals and meet Crowe PR’s standards of excellence.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual client reports, ensuring accuracy and excellence and showcasing ROI.
Processes and Administrative Tasks
- Oversee and manage social media vertical organization in Asana, Harvest, SharePoint, Dropbox and more.
- Develop and track client KPIs, leveraging dashboards, scorecards and other tools.
- Identify ways to streamline and improve social media processes on an ongoing basis.
- Ensure internal dashboards, client-facing trackers, etc. are always up to date.
Other
- Support Crowe PR business development process with deck preparation and presentations.
- Represent the agency in local business and marketing communities.
- Identify target clients for Crowe PR and contact when appropriate.
- Track client service hours daily in Harvest.
Job Requirements:
- 6+ years of marketing agency experience with at least 2 years of experience in a management role.

- Bachelor’s Degree in communications, marketing, or similar field preferred.
