- Maintain accurate records of available beds and admissions paperwork.
- Develop and maintain effective communication with facility staff and external agencies.
- Obtain necessary signatures and documentation from residents and guardians.
- Ensure accurate resident information is available to relevant departments (e.g., nursing, government agencies).
- Assemble and verify pre-admission documents.
- Process insurance and Medicare paperwork and provide required data.
- Notify nursing service upon resident arrival and address any admission-related issues.
- Stay updated on Medicare/Medicaid regulations.
- Maintain daily and monthly census reports.
- Attend facility committee meetings as directed by the supervisor.
- Personnel Functions:
- Perform tasks according to facility policies and supervisor instructions.
- Foster a positive work environment and maintain a professional, warm atmosphere for residents and staff.
- Participate in training, orientation, and annual in-service programs.
- Stay current on OSHA/CDC guidelines, including infection control training.
- Safety and Sanitation:
- Adhere to facility safety and infection control policies.
- Resident Rights:
- Maintain confidentiality and treat residents with respect and dignity.
