Key Responsibilities
- Observability Architecture: Design and implement comprehensive observability frameworks using tools like AppDynamics and Splunk to monitor application performance and infrastructure health.
- Dashboard & Alert Development: Create and customize dashboards and alerts tailored to customer requirements, ensuring proactive monitoring and quick issue resolution.
- Component Deployment & Troubleshooting: Oversee the deployment and configuration of Splunk components such as forwarders, deployment servers, and indexers. Troubleshoot issues in both Linux and Windows environments.
- Integration & Automation: Integrate observability tools with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure) and other enterprise systems. Utilize automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Puppet to streamline processes.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with application teams to drive outcomes, lead global transformation projects, and mentor junior team members.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience: A minimum of 8 10 years in observability, with at least 5 years focused on Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, Datadog, New Relic, or Dynatrace.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of Unix and Windows operating systems, cloud IaaS providers (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure), and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
- Programming Knowledge: Proficiency in at least two programming languages, including Java, Python, .NET, Node.js, or Ruby.
- Scripting & Automation: Experience with scripting languages and automation/orchestration tools to enhance monitoring capabilities.
- Certifications: AppDynamics certification is preferred but not mandatory.
