We are seeking a highly skilled Confluent Kafka Customer Engineer (CE) / Solutions Engineer (SE) to join our dynamic team in the Exton, PA. This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in Confluent Platform and Apache Kafka, and a strong background in Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) and Real-Time Data Streaming.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a technical expert and trusted advisor for customers evaluating or deploying Confluent and Kafka-based solutions.
  • Design, implement, and support event-driven architectures that enable real-time data processing and analytics.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide technical solutions tailored to their business needs.
  • Lead technical workshops, POCs, demos, and architectural reviews.
  • Assist customers in performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimizing Kafka clusters for reliability and scalability.
  • Educate and guide customers on best practices for data streaming, integration, and modern application development using Kafka and Confluent.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Mastery of Apache Kafka and Confluent Platform, including Schema Registry, ksqlDB, Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, and Confluent Control Center.
  • Proven experience designing and deploying Event-Driven Architectures in production environments.
  • Strong understanding of real-time data pipelines, stream processing, and integration patterns.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure) and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills; ability to translate complex technical concepts to a business audience.
  • Hands-on scripting or development experience in Java, Python, or similar languages is a plus.
