Job Title: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Security Architect
Location: Fully Remote
Job Type: 6 Months Plus Contract
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Security Architect to join our team on a contract basis. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in OCI security architecture and operations, helping design, implement, and maintain robust security controls across cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the SME for OCI security architecture and day-to-day security operations.
Design and implement custom Security Zone Policies (e.g., restrict public IPs, enforce object storage encryption).
Review and optimize existing Security Zone Policies to maintain consistent enforcement of security standards.
Investigate and respond to security alerts from Prisma Cloud, creating remediation plans that minimize risk without disrupting production.
Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to understand usage of OCI services (VCNs, Load Balancers, Autonomous Databases) and tailor security controls accordingly.
Provide security architecture recommendations including VCN segmentation, Cloud Guard strategies, and identity provider integrations.
Conduct configuration reviews of IAM policies, Network Security Groups (NSGs), and audit logs to identify and remediate misconfigurations.
Implement and maintain OCI-native security tools such as Cloud Guard, Security Zones, and Data Safe.
Act as a trusted advisor on OCI security best practices, threat mitigation strategies, and compliance frameworks (e.g., CIS OCI Benchmark).
Must have
Strong experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and its security services.
Hands-on experience with tools like Cloud Guard, Security Zones, and Prisma Cloud.
Deep understanding of OCI networking, IAM, and audit capabilities.
Knowledge of cloud security best practices and regulatory frameworks.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical teams.
