Job Title: System Administrator (Active Directory, Server, Cloud)
Location: Washington, DC -Onsite
Interview Process: In-person may be needed as well
Duration of the project: Long Term
Clearance: Public Trust (or ability to obtain)


Position Summary:
Seeking a qualified System Administrator with proven experience in Active Directory, server operations, DNS, and Microsoft 365 cloud administration to support the United States Access Board.
This individual will perform daily server/system maintenance, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure all systems meet federal IT compliance standards, including NIST 800-53.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Administer and manage Active Directory (on-prem and Entra ID), DNS, and OU structures
Perform server OS patching, configuration, documentation, and lifecycle support
Administer and monitor file/print servers, network security settings, and shared resources
Support Microsoft 365 E5 administration, including Exchange Online, Intune, Teams with Voice, and security center tasks
Maintain system backups, security logs, and virus protection for compliance with CISO guidance
Respond to system and server performance issues and escalate as needed
Implement CM (Configuration Management) and CCB-approved changes
Maintain documentation including SOPs, baseline configurations, and DR plans
Support Active Directory group policy enforcement, identity management, and security compliance activities

Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of IT experience with system administration in a federal or public sector environment
Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, Microsoft Azure, Windows Server
Experience with M365, Entra ID, Teams Voice, Intune
Familiarity with NIST, FISMA, or FedRAMP security practices
Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain upon selection
Microsoft certifications preferred (e.g., AZ-104, MS-102, SC-300)
