We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and experienced Vice President of IT & Clinical Applications to lead our enterprise technology strategy and operations at AllerVie Health. This executive will play a critical role in guiding the evolution of our IT and EMR platforms to support our aggressive growth strategy, while ensuring a secure, scalable, and future-ready infrastructure.
As a senior leadership team member, this role will oversee IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise clinical applications, including our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems. The VP will be responsible for designing and executing a robust IT roadmap that aligns with our strategic goals, supporting both organic expansion and acquisitions across a multi-site, healthcare delivery network.

This executive will play a critical role in guiding the evolution of our IT and EMR platforms to support our aggressive growth strategy, while ensuring a secure, scalable, and future-ready infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Develop and execute the enterprise IT strategy in alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
- Lead long-term technology planning, budget development, forecasting, and capital prioritization.
- Serve as a thought leader for clinical application innovation, future-proofing our tech stack for rapid growth, evolving regulations, and emerging trends in digital health.
- Partner cross-functionally with executives to drive adoption of new technology systems and data-driven decision making.
- Direct and manage IT infrastructure and security operations, ensuring high availability, scalability, and risk mitigation.
- Lead the Clinical Applications (EMR) department in delivering system reliability, user satisfaction, and clinical optimization.
- Oversee IT governance, policy development, risk management, and compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare-specific standards.
- Provide executive oversight for major IT and EMR implementations, integrations, and system upgrades across newly acquired and existing clinics.
- Spearhead enterprise-wide technology transformations with a focus on user adoption, outcomes, and ROI.
- Champion operational excellence and continuous improvement in all aspects of the technology ecosystem.
- Evaluate, negotiate, and manage key technology vendor relationships to drive cost-efficiency and innovation.
- Build, mentor, and develop high-performing IT and clinical application teams, fostering a culture of accountability, service, and agility.
- 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior/executive role within a multi-site healthcare organization.
- Proven experience overseeing both IT infrastructure/security and EMR or clinical applications departments.
- Demonstrated success in leading large-scale system implementations, M&A integrations, and enterprise IT initiatives.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and ROI analysis.
- Deep knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements (HIPAA, HITECH, etc.) and best practices in cybersecurity.
- Excellent communication skills and executive presence—able to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Experience with EMR systems like Meditab IMS, eClinicalWorks, Athenahealth, NextGen, Epic, or similar.
- Prior experience with private equity-backed healthcare growth models.
- PMP, CHCIO, CISSP, or similar certifications are a plus.
