Description

As a Lead Associate, you will consult with employers on a wide variety of complex health and wellbeing projects, involving wellbeing strategy, clinical condition management, and vendor evaluations. You will serve as the project manager and day to day communication liaison with our clients and their program vendors, collaborate with junior colleagues to create client deliverables drafts for review by senior colleagues, contribute to client management and new business activities, and participate in the creation of new intellectual capital by working on cutting edge projects alongside leaders in the industry.

The Role

  • Deliver superior, consistent consulting, client management, and project management in support of projects
  • Work with teams to develop integrated wellbeing strategies, innovative health management incentive programs, and evaluate ROI/VOI for health management programs
  • Partner with nurses to conduct clinical assessments of health management programs (case management, disease management and wellness)
  • Conduct analysis of clinical and wellbeing current state with clients – qualitative and quantitative context
  • Collaborate with other WTW lines of business on analyses and client recommendations
  • Create presentations and other work products for client discussions on health management and wellbeing topics
  • Manage vendor selection, procurement and optimization
  • Serve as primary, daily contact to clients and program vendors on delivery of services
  • Serve as the day to day project manager, ensuring the progress of the team against established objectives, budget, timeline, deliverables and quality standards
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with client contacts through effective communication and efficient, quality execution of projects
  • Contribute health, equity and wellbeing perspectives to broader health and benefits projects such as benchmarking, funding and re-design of plans
  • Contribute to the development of Willis Towers Watson intellectual capital (i.e., mental health, oncology, virtual care), tools, and approaches

Financial

  • Meet revenue and billable hour goals established with your manager
  • Support the generation of new business by enhancing relationships with current clients and recommending new projects and solutions

Qualifications

The Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a project manager of complex health and welfare projects gained in a consulting or brokerage environment, or similar Health Management or wellbeing related role
  • BA/BS degree required
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of population health and delivery of health care in the US
  • Knowledge of policies, programs and benefits that support diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace
  • Superb organizational ability, including capability of managing and prioritizing many simultaneous projects
  • Superior ability to influence and collaborate with colleagues, including “managing up” and keeping senior colleagues on task
  • Team oriented mindset and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated written/verbal communication skills, collaboration and partnership experience
  • Demonstrated strategic, creative, problem-solving and analytic skills
  • Self-starter attitude and ability to work with ambiguity
  • Adept at using technology to serve our clients and accomplish our goals, and comfortable with the virtual setting for many colleague and client interactions
  • The ability to see the "big picture," leveraging the resources of related practices to address the clients' business challenges
  • Intellectual curiosity and desire to keep abreast of latest developments in health management and Health and Benefits strategy, and contributing to the development of new tools and approaches
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Flexibility and proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues
