Our dynamic and innovative engineering firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Senior Civil Project Engineer/Design Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the design and execution of various civil engineering projects. These projects may include roads, wastewater systems, drainage, site, and water systems. The role demands an individual with a strong technical background in civil engineering, combined with exceptional leadership and client communication skills. The successful candidate will work closely with a team of skilled engineers and will be expected to drive the development and execution of projects from conception to completion.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage all aspects of civil engineering design projects from inception to completion.
2. Coordinate and liaise with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure project objectives and requirements are met.
3. Utilize your expertise in civil design to optimize project outcomes, focusing on areas such as roads, wastewater systems, drainage, site, and water systems.
4. Conduct site visits and assessments to ensure project accuracy and quality.
5. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.
6. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
7. Ensure all project activities adhere to local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
8. Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or queries they may have.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master's Degree will be considered an asset.
2. EIT or PE license is a plus.
3. A minimum of 7 years of experience in civil engineering design, with a focus on roads, wastewater systems, drainage, site, and water systems.
4. Proven experience in project management and team leadership.
5. Exceptional client communication skills, with the ability to explain complex engineering concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
6. Proficiency in using civil engineering design software and other relevant tools.
7. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure.
8. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
