The product marketing team drives Nielsen's market position by leveraging deep market intelligence to understand customer needs, competitive landscapes, and emerging industry trends. This team plays a critical role in achieving and maintaining product-market fit by identifying key audience segments and crafting compelling messaging, value propositions, and unique selling propositions (USPs) that resonate with our target audience. We are seeking a data driven and result oriented VP of Product Marketing. In this role you will lead a team of global product marketers responsible for developing and executing comprehensive product launch and effective product positioning strategies that effectively communicate the value of our products and solutions to the target audience. This role empowers our sales and marketing teams with the tools and knowledge they need to achieve our growth objectives, requiring an understanding of the media and advertising industry, strategic thinking and leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving successful product launches and market penetration.
Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive B2B product marketing strategy (global and regional) aligned with the company's overall business objectives
- Lead and mentor a high-performing product marketing team, fostering a culture of curiosity, innovation, and teamwork
- Serve as a key member of the Performance Marketing leadership team, positively contributing to the achievement of team goals and ongoing development of team culture.
- Market and Target Audience Intelligence:

- Develop and maintain audience segments built on an understanding of our target audience, including defining characteristics, pain points, buying behaviors, and decision-making processes
- Product Positioning & Messaging:
- Define and refine product positioning and messaging that resonates with our target audience and highlights the unique value proposition of our products
- Develop compelling content, including website copy, sales collateral, presentations, and case studies, to support marketing and sales efforts
- Ensure consistent messaging across all marketing channels and touchpoints
- Go-To-Market strategy:
- Partner with cross functional GTM teams to develop and go-to-market plans for new product launches and existing product enhancements
- Work alongside Commercial Marketing to bring new products to market by effectively reaching the target audience with a compelling value rich messaging.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of product marketing initiatives
- Sales Enablement:
- Develop and deliver sales training and enablement materials to equip the sales team with the knowledge and tools they need to effectively sell our products
- Create and maintain a library of sales tools, including product demos, presentations, and competitive battlecards
- Act as a trusted strategic advisor and partner to the sales team, providing product, market and target audience expertise and support
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field (MBA preferred)
- 8-12 years of experience in B2B product marketing, with a proven track record of success.
- Experience in the media, advertising, and market research industry is a plus.
